Privacy policy
We collect what you type into the request form so a landman can answer it. We don't sell it, rent it or trade it.
Who runs this site
methane.land is operated by Our Landmen LLC, 1501 S. Greeley Hwy, Ste C #1363, Cheyenne, WY 82007. Phone (307) 263-8515. Email hello@methane.land.
What we collect
- The request form. Which side you're on, your name, company or ranch, email, phone, and the gas, location and surface facts you choose to send, plus any notes.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser, page requested and time of each visit, for security and reliability.
The power screen runs in your browser. The numbers you type into it are not sent to us, and the spreadsheet it makes is built on your own device.
How we use it
- To read your request, answer it, and scope and do any work you hire us for.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
We don't sell personal information
We don't sell, rent or trade personal information to data brokers, ad networks or lead buyers.
Who handles it for us
- Google Firebase and Cloud Firestore host the site and store form submissions in the United States.
- Our staff read the stored requests, and mail sent to hello@methane.land, to reply and do the work.
The typefaces are served from this site, so loading a page makes no request to a font service or any other third party.
Your browser
The site doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't keep a copy of your form entries in your browser. It removes one storage key left by an older version of the site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you the right to know what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, or tell us to stop using it. Email hello@methane.land with "Privacy request" in the subject. We'll confirm who you are and answer within the time the applicable law allows, at no charge.
How long we keep it
For as long as we're talking with you or doing the work, then as long as accounting and record-keeping rules require.
Security
Pages and form submissions travel over HTTPS. Google encrypts the stored data at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so don't send passwords, account numbers or other data you'd not want exposed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
